We're launching the Book Tour for STAY WITH ME by Becky Wade! #SWMPrism

On Tour with Prism Book Tours

Note from the Author

Hello, everyone! I’m delighted to welcome you to the blog tour for the first book in my Misty River Romance series, Stay with Me.

Around the time that I was brainstorming ideas for this series, the world’s attention was focused on a group of young soccer players who were trapped in a cave in Thailand. Remember that? I carefully watched the news for updates on their status. And, after they were saved, I thought, “What if?” What if five middle school kids from the small mountain town of Misty River, Georgia were trapped below ground in the rubble of an earthquake while on a mission trip to South America? What if the group included a dissimilar mix of children, including two high-achieving sisters, one bitter foster kid, one handsome and popular boy, and one easy-going and optimistic boy? What if Christians around the globe began to pray for them? And what if God answered those prayers by miraculously rescuing them?

My writer’s heart pounded a little faster as the five kids started to take shape in my mind. The series begins eighteen years after the earthquake, when the “Miracle Five” are all adults, shaped in irrevocable ways by the trauma they endured. In Stay with Me, you’ll meet Genevieve Woodward, the youngest of the Miracle Five. She’s now a successful Bible study author and speaker who’s both trying to uncover a family secret and attempting to hide a secret of her own. Her world turns upside down when she meets Sam Turner, the handsome owner of an historic farm. To Genevieve's dismay, Sam sees right through her carefully crafted image to the woman — and the mistakes — beneath.

I hope that the romance, the mystery, the humor, and the inspiration within the pages of Stay with Me provide each of you with an armchair escape during these difficult days!

Warmly, Becky Wade

Take a Chance on Me
(A Misty River Romance #0.5)
By Becky Wade
Christian Contemporary Romance, Novella
ebook, 97 Pages
February 25th 2020

When baker Penelope Quinn steps in to help her brother’s family through a medical crisis, she’s forced into close proximity with charming Air Force fighter pilot Eli Price.

Penelope has one iron-clad dating rule—she does not date airmen. Months ago, she relaxed her rule with Eli and immediately lived to regret it. After a long deployment, he’s now back in Misty River and, to her dismay, she finds him just as tempting as always.

Eli’s spent months thinking about funny, feisty, creative Penelope. He once leveraged his focus and drive to become a pilot, his childhood dream. Now he's set on leveraging that same focus and drive in order to convince Penelope to give him one more chance.

This romantic prequel novella introduces readers to the quaint mountain town of Misty River and a brand-new series from Christy-winning author Becky Wade!

We're launching the Book Tour for A LOVE SO TRUE by Delaney Cameron! #ALSTPrism

Author Interview

What inspired you to write A Love So True?

Friends-to-more is one of my favorite romance tropes. There’s the familiarity and nostalgia of a past relationship thrown into a new situation. In this story, I wanted to explore how far someone will go in the name of friendship.

If you could sum up the book in one sentence, what would you say?

Love is messy and imperfect, but so worth waiting for.

What challenged you most about writing this story?

Making sure I kept my characters’ thoughts and actions consistent throughout the twists and turns of the story.

Which character do you most relate to and why?

Jaclyn. Like her, I sometimes struggle to let go of the past and end up missing the forest for the trees.

What do you hope readers will take with them after they’ve read it?

I’ll answer with a quote from the book. “Your heart isn’t a crystal ball, Jaclyn. It can’t see into the past or predict the future. It can’t tell you everything about someone. Only time and experience can do that. Falling in love is a leap of faith. Sometimes you stick the landing, sometimes you stumble, and sometimes you fall flat on your face.”

What is something about you that is unique?

I don’t know about unique, but I find it helpful to act out certain scenes before I write them.

She thinks of him as a friend. He’s loved her since high school.

She’s holding on to the past. He’s worked hard to overcome his.

Brooks knew better than to fall in love with Jaclyn. She’s a trust fund kid, and he’s from the wrong side of the tracks. Guys like him never end up with girls like her. His head understood the rules. His heart was another story.

About the Author

I'm a Georgia girl at heart if not by birth. I love to read, watch college football, and spend time with my husband. I'm a hopeless romantic so there will always be a happily ever after in my stories. I also like to write about second chances because love doesn't always work out the first time.

My books are sweet romances set in both contemporary and regency settings featuring stories about the journey to love, from that first meeting to the point where two people know their hearts are no longer their own. My characters aren't perfect. They make mistakes and have faults like the rest of us. They learn the sometimes painful truth that the path to love isn't always smooth, but it's a road worth traveling.

We're launching the Book Tour for HER COWBOY SWEETHEART by Cathy McDavid! #HCSPrism

On Tour with Prism Book Tours

Note from the Author

It’s here, book four in my Sweetheart Ranch series, HER COWBOY SWEETHEART! It seems like only yesterday I came up with the series idea while researching venues for my own upcoming wedding (was that really over three years ago?). Just goes to show you how long it can take from conception to completion. I have to say, while I’ve loved all four books, HER COWBOY SWEETHEART is perhaps my favorite.

Carly and JD’s story is close to my heart. They’re both dealing with huge challenges that have forced them to accept a new normal. While not the same as what’s happening today with COVID-19 and many of us staying at home, I think we can all relate to having our world turned suddenly upside-down and then trying to cope.

Thank you for joining me on my latest blog tour. I plan on having lots of fun — plus there’s an exciting giveaway at the end — so grab your cowboy hat and let’s get this blog tour launched!

We're launching the Book Tour for KINGDOM ABOVE THE CLOUD by Maggie Platt! #KACPrism

We're launching the Book Tour for KINGDOM ABOVE THE CLOUD by Maggie Platt! #KACPrism

On Tour with Prism Book Tours

Author Interview

What inspired you to write KINGDOM ABOVE THE CLOUD?

It really started with a daydream. What if there was a world full of characters who had mastered either a deadly sin or a fruit of the spirit? I started designing characters and imagining scenes, and it took on a life of its own. By the time I was done writing it, it was a deep dive into my Christian faith on a scale I never expected!

What challenged you most about writing this story?

I had never done any world building before, and I started writing the story long before I put any intentional thought into the world of Adia and surrounding lands. I just wrote what I imagined for each location, and that created a bunch of obstacles once I really got into the story. I hadn’t thought through governance, currency, trade, agriculture… none of it. Thankfully, I have some wonderful friends who are excellent world builders, and they lent a hand.

Which character do you most relate to and why?

Several characters share bits and pieces of my internal world, but the one I most closely relate to is a minor character named BiBi. She is like a self-portrait of who I was as a teenager. Fun-loving, mischievous, and seemingly having it all together, but longing for something more out of life.

What do you hope readers will take with them after they’ve read it?

My hope and prayer is that readers feel even just one step closer to God after reading this book. God, Jesus, and Christianity are not mentioned by name, but the whole story is a vulnerable look inside my faith in Christ. I hope that the words of the story point readers to Jesus and the love, hope, joy, and peace that only He can provide.

If you could sum the book up in one sentence, what would you say?

The battle for one girl’s heart and soul is raging, and she must choose between temptation and home.

What is something about you that is unique - maybe about how/where you write... or favorite snack foods or hobby?

I love to garden, and that hobby was passed down from my grandma to my mom and then to me. I recently expanded my flower beds to about four times their old size! I think I would be the happiest person in the world if I could spend all of my time digging in dirt and typing on a keyboard (after washing my muddy fingers!). I have a back patio that is surrounded by my flowers. Once they grow a little bigger, it will be the perfect place for some inspired writing.

We're launching the Book Tour for the LAND OF TWILIGHT TRILOGY by Charmayne Hafen! #LOTPrism

We're launching the Book Tour for the LAND OF TWILIGHT TRILOGY by Charmayne Hafen! #LOTPrism

On Tour with Prism Book Tours

Author Interview

What inspired you to write the Land of Twilight Trilogy?

I am a child of divorce and know how difficult it can be to navigate the issues that accompany divorce. I also know that my faith in Jesus is what brought me through severely difficult times in my childhood. It is for these two reasons that I wrote this trilogy. I want kids to know they are not alone and that they have an ever-present Help to rely on and rest in.

For those new to the series, what should they know?

The Land of Twilight Trilogy is a fantasy story for kids age 8-12 based on Celtic mythology. Sixth grader, Lorna, is forced to move to a new state after her parents’ divorce. She soon discovers that making new friends and adjusting to a new neighborhood are minor challenges compared to what she encounters during a bike race against the neighborhood champion, Samuel Black. Lorna passes over a maintenance hole as the sun is setting. The hole happens to be a cairn that takes Lorna into The Land of Twilight. Here the real challenges begin as Lorna tries to earn a wish to bring her parents’ back together. In the midst of everything is Lorna’s journey back to faith in the Savior . Ultimately, it will take more than Lorna’s faith to save Twilight.

Which character do you most relate to and why?

I relate to Lorna because her parents are divorced and she frequently finds herself struggling with extreme emotions that arise from the situation.

What do you hope readers will take with them after they’ve read the series?

I pray my readers will know that Jesus is their strength, that faith is vital to this life, and that they are not alone in their experiences, both positive and negative.

If you could sum the series up in one sentence, what would you say?

Parents may divorce and friends may come and go, but the Savior never changes and is the one in whom to place our faith.

What is something about you that is unique - maybe about how/where you write... or favorite snack foods or hobby?

I can write in almost any environment, but I find I must follow the same ritual to get in the right mindset to create. This ritual includes five minutes of coloring before writing while listening, each time, to the same soundtrack. I continue to listen to the soundtrack while writing for 25 minutes. I sometimes write twice in one day but usually just 25 minutes a day.

Journey to Twilight
(Land of Twilight Trilogy #1)
By Charmayne Hafen
Middle Grade Fantasy
Paperback & ebook, 113 Pages
November 1st 2019 by Capture Books

Sam and Lorna’s bike challenge becomes far more than a neighborhood race in this action-adventure fantasy for intermediate grades.

Riding over a cairn at sunset, Lorna surfaces in Twilight, where she is given three impossible tasks to complete before her heart's desire is granted.

Story Line: Avid sixth-grade mountain biker, Lorna Wilson, moves to Crestwood, Arizona, after her parents' divorce. Unpacking, Lorna seeks a way to fit into the new crowd when a girl named Ally knocks on her front door.

Splashing in the pool at Ally’s house, Lorna learns about the bike challenge created by a scar-faced neighborhood legend, Samuel Black. She hears herself boasting that she can take on Samuel Black in his own race and win. Lorna's words quickly come back to bite her.

Although none of the kids will root for the new girl, an ancient cairn opens to the Land of Twilight giving Lorna an opportunity to win anything her heart desires.

Illustrations are by award-winning artist, Brianna Osaseri.

Thematic: Time travel ages 9-12; action-adventure; Female protagonist survives parents' divorce; confidence and friendship; conflict opens to opportunity; Celtic; Jamaican; Multi-racial; coming of age fantasy for pre-teens with some paranormal, magical or mystical places and events. Intermediate grades. Book 1 in a series.

Return to Twilight
(Land of Twilight Trilogy #2)
By Charmayne Hafen
Middle Grade Fantasy
Paperback & ebook, 142 Pages
January 21st 2020 by Capture Books

In this second book of the Land of Twilight Trilogy, seventh-grade Lorna struggles with the meaning of friend like, how to be one, how to choose one, and how to keep one.

Lorna rejects her dad, deceives her mom, and turns her back on the ethereal Land of Twilight. She even turns on her best friend, Sam, in favor of gaining the attention of a new girl in the neighborhood, Jenny. Lorna sheds her own social norms, stealing and hiding as she pretends to enjoy her second year in challenging Crestwood, Arizona.

It has to be Sam's turn to do what true friends do.

An exciting read for readers ages 9-13 who enjoy Celtic mythology, magic, and busting the dust of the Arizona desert with your best friend.

Trouble to Twilight
(Land of Twilight Trilogy #3)
By Charmayne Hafen
Middle Grade Fantasy

About the Author

Claire McEwen writes romance set in quirky small towns and beautiful western settings. Her strong heroes and heroines take big emotional journeys to find their happily-ever-afters. Claire’s books have been published by Harlequin’s Superromance and Heartwarming lines, and have won various awards, including The Golden Quill, the Book Buyers Best, and the National Excellence in Romance Fiction Award. Claire lives by the ocean in Northern California with her family and a scruffy, mischievous terrier. When not dreaming up new stories, she’s a busy mom who enjoys gardening, hiking, discovering flea-market treasures and wandering on the beach. A life-long bookworm, she always has her Kindle close by.
