Launch - Author Interview

What inspired you to write READY TO TRUST?

Ready to Trust is the second book in the Hearts of Oklahoma series about the Rainbolt siblings who were raised by the oldest sibling, Mitch. Book 2, Ready to Trust is Reece’s story. I wanted to write about a black sheep who was called back to the flock. That’s Reece. A hunky hero with a heart for the Lord who knows only too well about making mistakes and asking for forgiveness. I think deep down inside I wanted to share that Christian men can be hunky and still be faith heroes.

"A second chance romance, full of family, faith, and heart. It was a fast read for me, because it just grabbed me right out of the gate with a quick hook, and I didn't put it down. Zoe is such an adorable little girl, she is so cute! I also really enjoyed Willard, who adds some years of experience and humor to the story. Highly enjoyable and satisfying read, with amazing characters."

Grief slammed into her like an Oklahoma tornado, pummeling her heart with new aches. Though emotion threatened to spill, she held back tears. She didn’t cry about the past anymore. The past was a lot like what if and Claire didn’t ever go there, because what if was a place for dreamers. She was no longer a dreamer.

"I love stories of reconciliation and forgiveness. Tina Radcliffe has crafted an enjoyable story, set in Oklahoma, that includes forgiveness of past mistakes and reconciliation that doesn’t happen overnight. . . . The characters are likeable and believable – the kind of people you wish were your neighbors. The plot is well-thought-out with just enough twists and turns to keep the reader engaged and reading. . . . While it is an adult novel, Ready to Trust would be appropriate for a k-12 Christian school library. High school girls in particular will enjoy this clean romance."

"Let's take a moment to appreciate the hot guy on the cover! Ready To Trust is Tina Radcliffe's second book of her Hearts Of Oklahoma series but can be read as a standalone. This is a fast but meaningful read. . . . I enjoyed reading this book for all the warm fuzzies, humor and inspiration. Tina Radcliffe has written a lovely and charming story that I recommend for fans of contemporary Christian fiction."

Hallie Reads - Review

"As Claire and Reece sort through the complications of their relationship, Radcliffe shares a romance that is delightful to read. I enjoyed getting to know her characters, seeing them move forward from the events and feelings of the past that have held them back for far too long. It is an easy book to recommend to readers in need of a quick and entertaining romance."

"I enjoyed reading this sweet clean romance with beautiful ranch scenery. It took me through a life story of loss, challenges, and love. . . . Zoe was such a cute little girl in this story. Nan, Asa, Daisy, Mitch, and Willard were side characters that made me smile. I loved the side characters! . . . Claire went through hard things in life and so had Reece. I enjoyed watching them slowly but surely grow together."

"The book was a quick and fairly straightforward read. I like that there wasn't a ton of back and forth drama of misunderstandings. . . . I did love that family played an important role in the novel. I look forward to reading more books from the series."

"I really liked Claire, she was someone you could relate to. She has been through so much and dealing with pain and past is hard. Reece though was probably on of the best leading man in a romance novel. . . . I loved that I actually felt what they were feeling. I was on an emotional rollercoaster and didn't want to put the book down. I really enjoyed the story and all the characters"

Pause for Tales - Review

"Reece and Claire have some big issues they need to work through.I enjoyed walking on this journey to true love, albeit a little rocky. . . . This was another delightful romance to curl up with."

"Overall, Ready to Trust is a pleasant contemporary read set in Oklahoma, complete with a ranch, an orchard, horses, and even a goat. . . . The interactions between Reece and Zoe were wonderful to read. . . . There are some great secondary characters in this story who made me smile. They served to spur Reece and Clair to think beyond themselves. I like the diversity of situations and perspectives from the various characters and the wisdom they brought to the story."

"Tina Radcliffe pulls you into a story of finding yourself, finding hope, and learning that God always has a plan. Even if you don’t know what it might be. . . . The storytelling and characters were perfect for a solid can’t-stop-reading. The humor and grace kept the dark moments from becoming too intense while still telling a heartfelt tale.

This one is going on the keeper shelf. The messages of faith, family, and forgiveness will stay with me for a long time."

Wishful Endings - Excerpt

I’m not a long-term kind of guy and I have zero interest in a future...with anyone. The words offered by Reece Rainbolt six years ago mocked Claire as she was seated at a window table at Arrowhead Diner. She stared out the window, fighting the shame of the past. What a fool she’d been—in love with a man who crushed her heart beneath his boot heel and walked away.

Splashes of Joy - Review

"Author Tina Radcliffe does a very nice job of weaving these two families together, hashing out the differences and coming to an ending that will please everyone, or at least it did me. . . . And this sweet romance is sure one that is so much fun to read. I encourage you to check out Ready to Trust for your next fun read."

"Ahh, Ready to Trust by Tina Radcliffe was such a sweet story! . . . and let me say I was not disappointed. . . fun characters, the lighthearted romance, and the sense of community that Tina Radcliffe displayed. A truly enjoyable book with a lighthearted feel"

“If you’d let yourself, you’d have more friends in Rebel than you have fingers and toes. You could find a place for yourself and Zoe here. A good life.”

Claire shook her head. “There are too many memories.”

“Make new memories.”

"This author is one of my favorite Love Inspired authors . I was very excited to read this book. Welcome to Rebel Ranch in Rebel, Oklahoma. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand-alone. . . . This is a book about second chances and redemptions. The characters are real feeling and well written. The storyline will grab you in the beginning - and you will not want it to end."

". . . a great book. I loved everything about it and laughed out loud at specific points. Ms. Radcliffe did a fantastic job on this novel. Zoe is such a character, and she will be a handful for her parents in her teen years. I am also recommending this book to anyone that reads inspirational clean, and wholesome romances. Or to ones that love to read romance novels!"

"Radcliffe has written a romance which in of itself isn't a romance as it is more of a healing of hearts and a second chance at a new beginning for two characters weather worn from life. She takes you through the motions of how one of them is more willing to let go of the past than the other whilst at the same time, there is this little girl in the middle of it all, too. . . . Overall, what I loved most about the story and the characters is how grounded Reece is now in his life and how important family is to him. . ."

"This is a very cute story about misconceptions, pre-judgements, community unity, overcoming one's past and creating new memories. It is also an inspiring tale about overcoming obstacles and prevailing.

This Christian Fiction will surely uplift and inspire the reader."

"I thought this one was a great read. I loved getting to know Reece and Claire. I could relate to Claire's feelings and her trust issues. It was a delight to read and was easy to keep reading to find out how it would all end.

I am giving Ready to Trust a very well deserved five plus stars."

“No, you didn’t.” His expression darkened. “You trusted your belief that I would let you down like everyone else. You’ve been waiting for it, expecting my betrayal every single day.” He shook his head.

"I loved Reece’s and Claire story in Ready to Trust. . . . Ready to Trust is a wonderful story. I look forward to reading more of the books in the series."

"Tina Radcliff writes a sweet romance. One about change, forgiveness and second chances. Reece and Claire have some big issues to overcome. I love how Zoe stole Reece's heart from the beginning. . . . The book was enjoyable from the first chapter. Engaging and heartwarming."

Rincón de Joss - Excerpt

“Reece? Are you sure you’re okay?” she asked quietly this time.

He sucked in a ragged breath and struggled to calm himself. “I don’t know what I am, to tell you the truth.”

“I understand and I know this isn’t easy,” Nan said. “But try to be kind.”

Uplifting Reads - Review

"This story was so familiar to me for some reason. Then again, I have been reading a lot of these inspirational, second chance and rancher romances lately. I'd say that you have the same general formula as a lot of those books, but Tina makes this story her own and you'll love [following] Claire and Reece along their journey."

"She has a gift for creating realistic characters and such small towns that readers may want to flock to them. . . . I absolutely loved this story . . . Fans of the author and the previous novel are sure to enjoy this book. It was as sweet and precious as the first novel. Overall this is an adorable, heart-tugging, beautiful, peachy treat of a book!"

And he did recall. He’d often find himself in the library watching her shelve books as he struggled over homework assignments. She was always polite when he had questions about locating resource books. Claire was one of the few people at Rebel High who saw him as a person, not just a pretty face or a dumb jock. That was enough to fuel a crush on her that he never told anyone about.

Remembrancy - Review

"The Rainbolt family and the town of Rebel, Oklahoma invite readers in and make them feel so welcome, they will not want to leave. And, even when they’re pushing at each other, every scene with Reece and Claire spending time together is one I devoured.

Add to that the handsome cowboy whose heart is wrapped up in his little girl from the moment he meets her, and you just can’t get much better."

Launch - Note from the Author

. . . Even more than A FAMILY FOR JASON and THE CHRISTMAS KISS, A BRIDGE HOME is a multigenerational story about the longing for home, family, and love that will last. Maybe at its heart, Amy and Eric’s story is about the power of believing in ourselves and each other. Be sure to enter the drawing!

—Virginia

Amy smiled and exhaled. She’d been holding her breath and didn’t even know it. “I trust you, Eric. My reluctance to open up is about me.” She let out a nervous snicker. “Who wants to talk about their failures?”

He didn’t respond in words, but gave her an understanding look.

"Everything was percolating so well in this installment - from how the community was rallying together to discuss their future plans for development and to how Amy needed to find her footing in her choices to return to Bluestone River. Even Eric was at a crossroads in his life wherein he needed to sort through what was motivating him and the choices he needed to be making. . . This is a story about choices and owning them once they are made as everyone needs a boost of confidence at different junctions of their lives. . . . What keeps you rooted in the series is the familiar way in which McCullough makes you feel like you've gone home yourself - Back to Bluestone River!"

“So smart to wear sunglasses on this bright, sunny day,” Amy said, taking a final picture of Eric and Cassie looking triumphant standing with the snow lady between them. She sent a couple of her best photos to Eric’s phone. “Her crossed legs and shoes make her very special, Cassie.”

“I love her,” Cassie exclaimed, clapping her hands and jumping up and down. “She’s Miss Sparkle, the best snow lady ever.”

Remembrancy - Review

". . . the romance is engaging. What really makes this series enjoyable is the way the town is coming together to re-energize their home and bring visitors in. From the covered bridge to the charity bike ride to the Fourth of July parade, something is always being cooked up, and you can’t help but feel the excitement and energy."

"Virginia McCullough wraps up her Back To Bluestone River series with A Bridge Home: A Clean Romance. This book is part of the Heartwarming collection from Harlequin. If you are a fan of books one and two, you will not be disappointed with book three. . . . I found the story charming, witty, entertaining and compelling enough to have substance without being heavy. It's the right balance of serious and humorous together with likeable characters that make A Bridge Home an excellent read. And, it's a clean story, which are hard to find these days. Romance readers will enjoy this book!"

"This is a familiar scenario of life in a small town. Many of the youth are anxious to leave, yet often, it is the place they return to. . . . This is a wonderful small town story with typical small town dilemmas. It is a relaxing drama with a few "twists"."

"I love this series. Full of make you televised stories. There is plenty of heart and feels. At times this book will hit you in the heart and get a little teary. . . . I loved Eric and Amy. Eric finally gets his chance, but he has to be patient and weather the little storms that come their way."

“That’s me and Miss Sparkle at the Snowball Fair,” Cassie said. “Remember, we got the Special Mention ribbon and we had burgers and fries.”

“Oh, I do recall that day. As a matter of fact, I have the same picture on my fridge.”

“Really?”

“Yes, really. And I also remember you and your mom feeding an apple to one of the horses.”

Splashes of Joy - Review

"This small town was special in the way they pulled together to save their heritage. A town I would love to live in. . . . . There is so much more going on in this story and author Virginia McCullough does an amazing job of weaving it all together to make A Bridge Home the Heartwarming story it is. If you enjoy a good clean Romance, I am sure you will love this one. And check out the other books in this series by Virginia McCullough. They are the same Heartwarming romance as this one is."

She took a deep breath. Yikes, she was overreacting. Her past with Scott had triggered this anger and was bleeding into her exchange with Eric. She forced a smile. “Let’s just say my feelings about the bridge are about what, in my opinion, is good for the town.” She pointed toward the wooden mess. “I admit I have a certain emotional attachment to it. But I’m beginning to understand why some people in town don’t feel the same way.”

“Well, that’s good.” His blue eyes softened. “I do have a fondness for some old things,” he said, smiling now. “I care enough to invest my savings into rehabbing a worn-out eyesore of a house.”

"A Bridge Home is another great installment in this series. You will be invested in the town’s bridge, in the town itself, and in the characters who take center stage this time around. McCullough seamlessly weaves in witty dialogue, emotional dimension, and swoony romance, making this a book you won’t easily put down until you’ve turned the last page."

Pause for Tales - Review

"This is a gentle love story of second chances of the sort. Amy letting go of past mistakes and Eric finally, maybe getting the chance with Amy he has always wanted. Throw in a little family drama and you have yourself a heartfelt read."

Hallie Reads - Review

"A Bridge Home is another sweet addition to Virginia McCullough’s Back to Bluestone River series! . . . Naturally, living in a small town gives Eric and Amy plenty of opportunities to explore their feelings and the possibilities of their relationship. I so enjoyed getting to know them as they did so, in addition to revisiting the charming town. A Bridge Home proves to be a delightful read for anyone in need of some contemporary romance!"

"What a heartwarming, sweet romance story. This is the third book in the series. I have not read the other two books, but I did not have any issues following along. . . . I love how the author has touched on divorced kid issues. I am a product of a divorced family. My two younger boys are a product of a divorced family. I love how the story builds from this meeting.

This story contains well written characters, a original storyline and flows nicely."

"Clean, wholesome, sweet read that tugs at the heartstrings and makes you want to get up and hug everyone! Messages of compromise, adjusting, and learning to trust are apparent; and McCullough creates a beautiful story that is realistic while being uplifting. . . . Those who’ve read the previous two novels and fans of the author will likely want to read this. Anyone who enjoys clean, wholesome, and a story with a beautiful ending will enjoy it as well."

Rincón de Joss - Excerpt

For the few minutes Cassie dabbed at her eyes Amy thought about how she wanted to respond. If the boys were being that mean, and she had a feeling the story was true, she had to choose her words even more carefully. She refused to make her daughter feel bad about reacting to anyone taunting Lottie, but she couldn’t allow her to shove other kids.

“I believe you, honey, about the boys being mean, but you can’t go around pushing people,” Amy said, exasperated. “No matter what.”

“I know.”

"This is the third book in this series, and I have been enjoying every single one of them. While it is a part of the series, it is very easily read as a standalone book. . . I really enjoyed this story. It was a perfect escape while sitting on the deck on a lovely summer morning with a latte in hand. I really hope there is more to this series, because you can be sure I will be picking it up as well!"

"Virginia McCullough’s A Bridge Home is a charming contemporary romance written with such warmth and heart that once readers start reading it, they will find themselves completely and utterly hooked. Tender, emotional, intense but uplifting and heart-warming, A Bridge Home is a delightful romantic read with an honorable hero, a kind-hearted and intelligent heroine and a beautifully rendered small town readers would just love to move to. . . a small-town romance that is hard to resist."

What do you hope readers will take with them after they’ve read it?

I hope this book reminds readers that our pasts don’t have to define us. No matter how badly we’ve been hurt, no matter how long we’ve clung to false beliefs, we can choose to move forward and embrace love and light from this moment forward.

Among the Reads - Review

"While it would have been easy for the author to fall into the trap of giving easy answers and wiping away all the problems perfectly as they rode off into the sunset at the end, she didn’t. The resolution required compromise and while the conclusion was satisfactory, it did not end with everything perfect – making it more realistic and in my opinion, more enjoyable.

This sweet romance was just the right length and moved at just the right pace. . . . If you enjoy sweet romance, be sure to read Falling for the Innkeeper."

"I love this story. It has situations good and bad that we all have to deal with in this life. I love the Inn and their little town on the cape. . . . I highly recommend this book to readers who enjoy a good love story."

"This is a heartwarming read, Jonathan and Laura are characters to cheer for throughout. I enjoyed the beautiful setting, and how well they worked together as their friendship grew. There's a lot to love about this book, with strong themes of faith and family, great character growth and interaction, as well as an absolutely adorable little girl. You won't want to miss it!"

"Falling for the Innkeeper is an adorable story about finding love when you least expect it. It’s also about learning to compromise and give up what you thought you wanted for something even better. . . . I definitely think readers who enjoy inspirational love stories will be fans of Falling for the Innkeeper!"

Jonathan adjusted his tie and cuff links, the expensive ones he wore when he wanted to impress. Not that he expected a single mother to even notice his wardrobe. But it was like his battle armor. Look the part, play the part. Get. It. Done.

There were lights on inside the inn, which was a good sign. He left his suitcase in the car, took a deep breath, walked up the brick-lined path to the front door and knocked.

"This book my first book by the Author. It will not be my last. The Author has such great descriptions, and I could visualize the scenes well. I love reading Love Inspired books. I recommend reading this book."

JoJo’s Corner - Review

"This is such a sweet story! I am a big fan of inspy romance and this book has all the ingredients for a perfectly heartwarming story that will be at the top of your own favorite list."

"Falling for the Innkeeper was such a good story! Laura and Jonathan felt like real people making their way through life, carrying burdens from their childhood that colored the way they viewed themselves and others. . . their journey was a joy to read about.

Jonathan had always had this idea that if he could just reach that brass ring, if he could just grab it and hold on, that would be the thing that would make everything in his life work the way it was supposed to, the thing that would make everything okay.

But would it? Would it really?

Making partner at the law firm wouldn’t magically fix his father’s illness. Making partner wouldn’t change the fact that he’d been a scared, bullied kid. Making partner wouldn’t mean that his father, who’d gone missing when Jonathan was just seventeen, would ever come home.

"I really enjoyed this book! It honestly was like reading a Hallmark movie! 🥰 I enjoyed the sweetness of it all. I loved the charming town and characters. And the inspiring message throughout."

Hallie Reads - Review

"As the pair does so, it is easy to fall in love with their story—and them as characters. I enjoyed getting to know Laura and Jonathan, their personalities and backstories, through Falling for the Innkeeper and seeing how they could move from enemies to something else. It is a delightful, fun story, and I now look forward to reading more from Meghann Whistler in the future."

"Falling For The Innkeeper is a sweet Love Inspired romance. It has a charming setting, great characters, especially the adorable Yankee Doodle singing Emma, and a storyline that manages to be both convicting and entertaining. Meghann Whistler skillfully gets her readers thinking introspectively while delivering a sweetly romantic escape. . ."

Jonathan tried to go back to his own work, but he couldn’t focus. “Your ex. He’s not very involved?”

“More like he’s not involved at all. He hasn’t even met Emma in person, you know.”

“What?” He felt something hot and fierce tear through him, outraged on her behalf. “How is that even possible?”

Splashes of Joy - Review

"As the story unfolds, so do these characters, and Ms. Whistler weaves together a beautiful story with a wonderful ending. I enjoy this.book for what it is, very sweet romance! And if you like a good clean Romance, this is one you need on your to read list! You won’t put it down until you finish the last page!"

She was fleet-footed, practically skipping from rock to rock. Jonathan followed, a little less certain of the path but determined not to fall behind. The boulders were damp and sandy, dried barnacles peppering the sides. She stopped and looked at him over her shoulder. “And Carberry Hotels is one of your clients?”

She was beautiful. She was so beautiful. And underneath the teasing, sometimes tough-girl demeanor, she was sweet, too. Everyone they’d run into during their excursion into town last night had loved her. He couldn’t understand why men weren’t lining up around the block to sweep her off her feet. If he had time for a girlfriend, he’d absolutely be the first person in line.

“Connor Carberry is my friend,” he said. “This deal is like a test case. If it goes through, the whole hotel chain could become a client.”

"This book took my heart on so many twists and turns - but it was a wonderful ending. I am super excited to see more from this author. She has written amazing characters, a beautiful setting, and has crafted a flowing storyline."

What inspired you to write Under the Shade of the Banyan Tree?

Under the Shade of the Banyan Tree is a compilation of poems and short stories. The poems were written over several years. A friend recommended I publish them. Subsequently, I was advised that a book of poems is not necessarily palatable to a lot of people. Hence the idea of adding the short stories to reach more readers.

Launch - Author Interview

What do you hope readers will take with them after they’ve read it?

First, I hope readers will find a sweet romance at the center of the story. I enjoy writing about two people who don’t want to fall in love but who fall in love anyway. Second and most important, I pray that readers will take one step closer to God because of something they find in How Sweet It Is.

All-of-kind Mom - Review

"Another story about some broken people finding their way.
A story about trusting, forgiveness, and love. . . . Robin Lee Hatcher writes sweet romances that show us God’s love. This book is an excellent [example] of this."

Simply Susan - Review

"Robin Lee Hatcher’s books have always been an automatic read for me. Her Legacy of Faith series has certainly been very heartwarming and poignant, this book pouring many blessings into my heart. . . . So many precious nuggets were found in this book. Highly recommended."

"When you pick up a Robin Lee Hatcher book you know it's going to be good! . . . Hatcher has done a nice job in tying the past with the present together once again. . . . I highly recommend this book because you'll not want to put it down until you finish. This book will leave you feeling full and satisfied after a good read. Kind of like a wonderful dessert."

“Thanks. You too. How are the wedding plans?”

“That’s why I’m here. Holly and I were going over wedding-cake ideas and looking at all the bride magazines I could find.”

Jed took a half step back. “Sounds like I’m intruding after all.”

“No, you’re not. We’re done. I was about to head home.” Trixie tipped her head slightly to one side.

Jed had the sudden feeling that he was being measured, studied, put under a microscope. Not a comfortable sensation.

"This novel was a nice way to round out the Legacy of Faith series. I believe that it can be read and understood without reading the first two books in the series. However, I feel that I had a greater appreciation for the historical portion of the novel because I have read the entire series.

I thought that Jed and Holly’s relationship growth throughout the story felt realistic."

ReviewsByErin - Review

"There was a beautiful layer of faith presented, and hope for those facing family conflicts. I can imagine a lot of people will enjoy this as a light read. I would highly recommend reading the whole series to get the full impact of Andrew's story."

"I loved this book! It made me want to bake a million things! . . . The family aspect was also super interesting! If you are looking for a great contemporary, then I suggest this one!"

"The story is one of healing and love and family and belonging. You go on the journey with Holly and Jed, two people who are dealing with their own set of struggles of trust, hurt and wanting something more. Along with their story, is the story of Jed's grandfather, Andrew. Popping back and forth from present day to Grandpa Andrew's day, the story of family and legacy is told. It was a heartwarming story that slowly took you from one place to the next with each chapter."

"How Sweet It Is is just as sweet as its title suggests! It’s a clean, inspirational romance that will challenge you to trust that God has your future in His hands. . . . The characters and the love that develops between them are very believable. But I think that the best part of the book is watching God’s plan unfold. . . . I have always loved Robin Lee Hatcher’s books, and How Sweet It Is is no exception."

"How Sweet It Is was a book that had me hooked from the very first word. I love reading books that connect with two time periods.

I loved Andrew and Helen’s story that was set in 1969 to 1970. They had such a fantastic love story. . . . The characters were so real to me. I could visualize what they were doing."

"As can be expected, How Sweet It Is uses Andrew’s bible to once again bring a family member back to their walk of faith. . . . It was encouraging to read about how seeming coincidences actually became evident as the obvious leading of the Lord.

A sweet romance, How Sweet It Is was easy to read and enjoyable. Although filled with scripture references, the faith element was not intrusive and did not detract from the story."

Pause for Tales - Review

"There was many beautiful lessons and truths in this story that pulled at my heartstrings. I enjoyed watching each of the people grow into better versions of themselves as they took away lessons from their ancestor Andrew Henning. This was a beautiful story of family and their legacy of faith and what that can mean for generations."

Splashes of Joy - Review

"I have read many of Robin Lee Hatcher’s books and love them all, and was excited to read and review this one. There is so much in this story, twists and turns that surprise you, making it a wonderful and entertaining read. If you enjoy a good clean Christian fiction, you don’t want to miss How Sweet It Is. Because Jed and Holly’s story truly is a really sweet story."

"This is a really nice love story, within a love story. . . . The characters were all portrayed well and very endearing. Although this [drama] was very predictable, it was very well written and inspiring."

“Holly, you may be older than me, but you don’t know much about men. Have you noticed the way he looks at you?”

It frightened her, thinking Trixie might be right. It frightened her even more, thinking she wanted her sister to be right. “Don’t.”

“Don’t what?”

“Don’t read too much into it. I . . . I’m not ready.”

"I was elated when I found that I'd get to read the third book of this series. I had read book two at its release last year and was eagerly waiting to read this one. I am happy to say that it lived up to my expectations. . . . All in all, I enjoyed this last book and it was definitely the uplifting read that I had been craving."

"I loved this sweet and delightful read. I adored Jed and Holly. They had perfect chemistry, making the book fun and entertaining. There was a little twist and turn I did not expect which made the story quite unpredictable. . . . I recommend it for readers who enjoy reading clean and inspiring romance."

"I loved returning to the Hennings family as this book continues to follow Andrew and Helen decades previous, while also catching up with their descendants in the present. The dual timelines are well written and compliment each other well. I loved the themes of faith and commitment, as Jed takes time to consider things he hasn't had time for the in the past. A heartwarming and enjoyable read about family, faith, new opportunities and lasting love."

"This was a sweet romance. I liked the chemistry between Holly and Jed. . . . I would recommend this as a quick clean inspirational romance. This is the third book in the series. It reads well as a stand alone."

Uplifting Reads - Excerpt

His smile made a shiver run down her spine. A pleasurable kind of shiver. One of anticipation. Something flickered in his eyes. Understanding, perhaps. With it, his smile faded. His eyes seemed to darken as he gazed intently into hers. His right hand rose to cup her cheek, the flat of his hand gentle against her skin. She couldn’t help but press into it. She was tempted to close her eyes, but she didn’t want to break the look passing between them. His face drew closer. Was this happening?

“Holly.” He whispered her name, as soft as a caress.

She feared her knees would buckle.
Breathe, she reminded herself. Just breathe.

Hallie Reads - Review

"How Sweet It Is is a sweet story from Robin Lee Hatcher indeed . . . As romance and understanding grow, the present timeline complements Andrew’s one in the past to deliver a valuable message about trusting God through the good and the bad. Readers who have enjoyed the Legacy of Faith thus far are sure to enjoy this book; it is a satisfying conclusion."

Remembrancy - Review

"How Sweet It Is has some light-hearted moments that made me smile and some tougher moments that had me reaching for the tissues. Throughout the book, the message of the power, importance, and comfort of spending time digging into God’s word and building a strong relationship with Him rings through. This is an excellent end to the series, and like the author, I am sad to say goodbye to Andrew and his descendants."

"I love authors who can hook us into the emotional framework of a character immediately after we've started to read their story. With Hatcher, you don't have to wait long, as even within the Prologue of How Sweet It Is - you are rooted into the emotional heartache and anguish of Jed. . . . What I enjoyed the most though - is seeing how two ordinary people who weren't expecting anything extraordinary to happen to them suddenly find themselves in the middle of their own romance story! And that dear hearts, is why I kept turning the pages. . ."

Among the Reads - Review

"Lovers of more serious stories with the light of faith shining through will want to be sure to read How Sweet It Is. And while it easily stands alone, it builds on the events of the previous books of the Legacy of Faith series, so you’ll want to be sure to read them as well."

"As with the previous books in the Legacy Of Faith series Robin Lee Hatcher presents a sweet romance combined with the reality of the messiness of family. . . . As much as I enjoyed the romance between Holly and Jed . . . it was still the sections with Andrew that I most looked forward to. Across three books he's gone through tragedy and triumph from young manhood to retirement age. He has faced each struggle with love and a faith that is to be admired. . . . It was just as wonderful, and bittersweet, as its predecessors. It is very much a book that you shouldn't miss."

Inside, Pumpkin welcomed her home with a loud meow. After setting aside her purse, Holly picked up the cat and buried her face in the feline’s long hair.

“Sweetheart, what am I going to do?”

Pumpkin answered with a purr.

“You never lie to me, do you? You’re just who you say you are.”

She carried the cat with her into the living room, stopping long enough to turn on the lamp before settling onto the sofa.

“I’m at the end. I don’t know what to do. God, I need Your help. There’s no hope without You.”

"This is the first book I’ve read by author Robin Lee Hatcher. And, it is a wonderful, sweet, darling, inspirational, and beautifully written story for the most part. The short chapters make it an extremely quick read. . .

The biggest message I loved from this book was in practicing grace when dealing with family and friends when it comes to conflicts and reconciliation.

Readers of the previous books in the series as well as fans of the author will more than likely enjoy this story."

I'm Into Books - Spotlight

"How Sweet It Is the third book in the Legacy of Faith Series by Ms. Hatcher and I will say that it truly is a sweet, endearing novel. I absolutely adore a dual timeline and the author certainly had me engaged in the family saga from start to finish. . . . I thought this book was beautifully crafted with charming characters and one that will make you cry at times and one that will stay with you after you have finished reading it."

Christian Contemporary Romance
Paperback, Audiobook & ebook, 304 Pages
July 14th 2020 by Thomas Nelson

He lost his brother. She lost her dream. Together, they might find what they’re really looking for.

Holly Stanford is doing the best she can with the restaurant she inherited from her late uncle. But after her fiancé abandons her and the business, Holly regrets having given up her dream of becoming a pastry chef. Now a few bad financial decisions might cost her everything, including her hope for the future.

Jed Henning has done well with his new company despite his prodigal brother’s behavior. When Jed‘s father, the controlling member of the board of directors, temporarily suspends operations until his sons work out their differences, Jed resentfully chases his brother, Chris, to Boise. There Jed rents a basement apartment from Holly and hopes to convince Chris to get his act together before their company collapses.

Unaware that Holly is the one person who can help him get through to Chris, Jed starts the tough work of reconciliation armed with little more than a few family photographs, a stack of old letters, and a Bible that belonged to his great-grandfather, Andrew Henning. And as romance blossoms between Holly and Jed, the story of Jed’s great-grandfather highlights the power of God across the generations and the legacy of a family’s courageous faith.
